Role overview

Looques is looking for confident, professional and motivated Business Executives to help grow our network of participating venues across the United Kingdom.

This is a home based and primarily telephone focused position. Business Executives will contact suitable businesses including hotels, cafés, restaurants, pubs, shops and other potential venues, introduce them to Looques, explain how the platform works and discuss the benefits of becoming a Looques Host.

The objective is to identify suitable businesses, generate interest, answer initial questions and support interested venues through the onboarding process.

This is not a field sales position. Business Executives will not normally be required to travel to or physically visit venues. Contact with prospective venues will primarily take place by telephone and through appropriate follow up communication.

What you will be doing

  • Contact prospective businesses by telephone
  • Contact hotels, cafés, restaurants, pubs, shops and other suitable businesses
  • Introduce Looques to business owners, managers and appropriate decision makers
  • Clearly explain what Looques is and how the platform works
  • Explain how becoming a Looques Host can allow suitable venues to offer prepaid toilet access through the platform
  • Identify businesses that may be suitable for joining the Looques network
  • Establish whether the person being contacted is authorised to discuss joining Looques or identify the appropriate decision maker
  • Generate interest in the Looques Host opportunity
  • Answer initial questions from prospective Hosts
  • Explain the venue onboarding process clearly
  • Support interested businesses through the initial registration and onboarding process
  • Arrange follow up telephone calls where necessary
  • Follow up businesses that have expressed interest but have not completed onboarding
  • Maintain professional communication with venue owners and managers
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, contacts, outcomes and follow up requirements
  • Update the Looques CRM or internal management system accurately
  • Record interested, pending and unsuccessful venue contacts appropriately
  • Work towards reasonable agreed activity and venue onboarding targets
  • Follow approved Looques scripts, procedures and quality standards
  • Ensure information provided to prospective Hosts is accurate and consistent
  • Escalate questions or situations that require management assistance to the Business Executive Team Leader
  • Protect confidential company, customer and venue information
  • Represent Looques professionally during all business communications

What the role does not normally involve

This is primarily a home based telephone position. Business Executives are not normally expected to:

  • Travel around visiting venues
  • Carry out door to door venue recruitment
  • Use personal transport to visit businesses
  • Work as independent Ambassadors
  • Pay expenses in order to recruit venues

Important

The Ambassador programme is a separate independent programme and must not be confused with this employment position.

What we are looking for

  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Clear verbal communication
  • Good written communication
  • Comfortable speaking with business owners and managers
  • Confidence explaining a new service to prospective businesses
  • Ability to listen and respond appropriately to questions
  • Professional and friendly approach
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Ability to manage follow up calls and outstanding contacts
  • Reliable and able to work responsibly from home
  • Comfortable learning new online systems
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as part of a remote team
  • Positive attitude towards targets and performance expectations

Previous experience in sales, telesales, business development, customer service, hospitality, recruitment or a call centre environment would be helpful but is not essential. Applicants without direct experience may still be considered where they demonstrate suitable communication skills, confidence and willingness to learn.

Working arrangements

This is a home based position. Full time and part time opportunities are available.

Looques intends to provide flexible working opportunities where operationally possible. Working hours and agreed availability will depend on the employment arrangement offered and the needs of the role.

Because Business Executives contact commercial venues, employees may need to carry out telephone activity during appropriate business contact hours. Applicants should be able to manage their agreed working hours reliably and remain available during their scheduled working periods.

What you will need

  • A suitable professional home working environment
  • Reliable internet access
  • The ability to undertake telephone calls without unreasonable background noise
  • A reliable way to participate in online meetings and training
  • The ability to use Looques online systems and internal tools
  • Permission to work in the United Kingdom

Training and support

Successful applicants will receive structured induction and role specific training before carrying out the role independently. Support may include:

  • Introduction to Looques and the Host programme
  • Training on how the Looques platform works
  • Telephone and communication guidance
  • Approved call scripts and conversation guidance
  • Venue qualification guidance
  • Onboarding procedures
  • CRM and internal system training
  • Data protection and confidentiality guidance
  • Ongoing coaching
  • Regular one to one meetings
  • Performance feedback
  • Continuing support from the Business Executive Team Leader and management

Development

Looques wants employees to have opportunities to develop useful professional skills. The Business Executive role can help employees develop experience in:

  • Business development
  • Telephone communication
  • Customer service
  • Relationship management
  • Venue onboarding
  • CRM and administrative systems
  • Commercial communication
  • Remote teamwork
